India is the land of rich cultural diversity, wonderful languagesand brave freedom fighters. It is this India whichsurvived and emerged independent after centuries of British rule. The unbreakable courage and zeal to free our motherland was fuelled by patriotism! We are indebted to our freedom fighters for their sacrifices. The month of August is holy for us as it was on the 15th of August 1947, that we became a sovereign, independent and democratic country. We are proud of our freedom fighters and through our school activities, we are attempting to imbibe their spirit of patriotism within us. Thus, on 06th August, the young Josephites from Classes I- IV took part in an Interhouse Patriotic Singing Competition. Their melodies praised our freedom fighters as they sang about sagas of our freedom struggle. The kindergarten Josephites took part in the Storytelling competition as well. Some of them even dressed up as the characters present in the story and enacted the story with appropriate facial expressions and voice modulation for better understanding of the audience . Each and every story recited had a moral value attached to it.The students thus exhibited their outstanding narrative skills to an amazed audience.
